A delicate dialogue
In the silence of twilight, the Church of Sant’Ambrogio Olona is revealed in a new light.
A calibrated, respectful, and never intrusive illumination gives voice once again to its façade, highlighting the material texture of the brick and its austere yet harmonious proportions.
Here, light does more than make things visible — it interprets the architecture, tells its story, and gently caresses it with delicacy.
The shadows, sculpted with precision, give depth to the ribs, the niches, the solids and voids that define the façade. It is a subtle play between chiaroscuro and matter, which restores the building to its most authentic and spiritual dimension.
No dispersion upwards, no distraction: only the essential, carefully measured, to preserve the sacredness and identity of the place.
Light guides the gaze, but with grace. It does not impose, but accompanies. And in this balance between darkness and luminous presence, the church speaks again — even at night.
Periskop. A tool at the service of the project.
The façade lighting design relies on the versatility and precision of the Periskop outdoor projector, installed in a multi-unit configuration on existing poles, each equipped with five fixtures. Every projector is aimed to highlight different architectural surfaces, based on distance, angle of incidence, and the required lighting function.
Ultra Spot, Spot, and Medium Flood optics, paired with tubular anti-glare shields, allow the light to be shaped in a precise and controlled manner, without spill or glare.
Power levels range from 10W to 21W, and the 3000K color temperature ensures a warm, uniform color rendering.
An accurate optical system, designed to enhance the architecture with discretion and visual coherence.
